ATA - “The Learning Programme”

Jiří Ščučka - Animal Training Academy (ATA)

This is to explain the basics of the complex and integrated learning programme for the canine and animal trainers

The programme consists of the three graduate level courses:

  • I. Dog trainer

  • IIa. Professional dog trainer

  • IIb. Animal trainer

  • III. Special dog training

The I. Dog trainer course is now open to apply

Who is the course suitable for:

  • dog owners, vets, other vet professionals, pet shop professionals, pet carers, dog hotel professionals, dog au-pairs, animal carers, canine club instructors/trainers, military dog handlers and all the others who want to develop and master their knowledge of canine training
  • those who want to pursue a career in dog/animal professional training

Course requirements:

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • ownership of an appropriate dog for training
  • in advance payment of the course fee

The course covers:

The course will be split in the three theme subjects. The whole consists of the minimum of 96 learning hours:
  • theory of training
  • veterinary basics
  • practice

The educational process is further divided into specific topics each of which is discussed during individual weekend sessions.

How is the course designed:

The course will be held during several weekend learning blocs. It is six weekends of learning process plus one - when the final exams take place along with the closing ceremony.
